Inclusion
The bbs1celle are inclusive schools and enable all students barrier-free and equal accessibility (cf. §4 (1) NSchG)
According to §59(1) NSchG parents and legal guardians can principally choose every suitable course for their child among the choice of school forms at disposal. That means that any student, irrespective of possible disabilities, can attend a certain school form as long as he fulfils the required entrance qualifications (Flyer Courses)
The curricular standards of any educational programme are mandatory for all students. A school leaving diploma/ certificate receives everyone who meets the general requirements of the chosen programme. However, disabled students are entitled to demand compensation for possible disadvantages due to their disabilities (Niedersächsisches Kultusministerium ((Hrsg.): Handlungsoptionen für die inklusive Berufsbildende Schule, Hannover, Juli 2017, S. 11).
Such compensations comprise all necessary and suitable supporting measures that can help disabled students to participate actively in the classroom and to prove their acquired skills and competencies in exams (Zimmermann, Nina; Wachtel, Peter: Nachteilsausgleich aus pädagogischer Perspektive, In: Schulverwaltungsblatt 8/2013. S. 449-452).
In order to enable a barrier-free and equal access to all of our educational courses from the beginning it would be helpful if you contacted us at a very early stage.
